Student Welcome Picnic

Network of Nations hosted students at the welcome picnic at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Many people came, with lots of smiling faces, and food was even more plentiful! Students enjoyed receiving scarves knitted by members of the community – even though cold weather is a little way away, it’s coming soon enough!

The Daily Chronicle recently ran a story about Network of Nations, highlighting how the ministry helps internationals form friendships with Americans. Key quote from one of the internationals:
“What I like about Americans is they like to be together with their families, and they’re so welcoming,” he said. “I got seven invitations for Thanksgiving, and I still don’t even know what it is.”
